About Dr. Lyndsay Carlson, PharmD, BCACP

I am Dr. Lyndsay Carlson, a board-certified Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacist (PharmD, BCACP) with over 15 years of experience helping patients improve metabolic health and address the root causes of chronic conditions. My clinical focus includes obesity, insulin resistance, prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol. These conditions are often labeled as “chronic,” but I believe they can frequently be improved and, in many cases, healed by addressing what is driving them in the first place.
I began my career working in person under collaborative practice agreements with primary care providers and specialists, managing patients with complex medical needs and multiple chronic conditions. Today, I serve as a Clinical Pharmacy Manager and continue to care for patients remotely while also training and mentoring other clinical pharmacists to do the same. This experience has given me a deep understanding of both the clinical side of care and the real-world challenges patients face when trying to improve their health.
My approach is rooted in identifying the “why” behind symptoms rather than simply managing numbers on a chart. Metabolic health affects nearly every system in the body, and issues such as insulin resistance and metabolic dysfunction are often at the center of fatigue, weight struggles, blood sugar instability, and cardiovascular risk. By focusing on metabolic flexibility, nutrition, movement, recovery, and sustainable lifestyle rhythms, I help people learn how to support their metabolism and, when appropriate, use tools like ketosis in a safe and responsible way.
I believe God designed our bodies with an incredible capacity to heal and restore. He has already given us powerful tools through nutrition, movement, rest, and faith. As it has often been said, “It is the responsibility of the rare.” I believe that those of us who understand this deeper truth about healing have a calling to guide others toward it with both compassion and wisdom.
As Romans 8:11 reminds us, “The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you.” I believe that same Spirit can bring renewal to every part of life, body, mind, and spirit. My mission is to help people awaken to their God-given ability to be well and to provide clear, practical, and evidence-informed guidance as they pursue lasting metabolic health.
