Medication Review

A Service by Dr. Lyndsay Carlson, PharmD, BCACP

Are Your Medications Helping You Heal, or Just Holding the Pattern Together?

A PharmD-led medication review that helps you understand what you are taking, why it matters, and which questions are worth bringing back to your healthcare provider.

You Deserve to Understand What You Are Taking.

Most people are handed prescriptions with very little time to ask questions. You may know the names on the bottle, but not fully understand why you are taking them, how they work together, what symptoms could be related, or whether your medication list still matches your current health goals.

“I am on all these medications, but I am not sure what they are doing.”

You should understand the purpose of each medication, what it is intended to support, and what questions to ask if the reason is no longer clear.

“Could my symptoms be side effects?”

Fatigue, dizziness, swelling, sleep changes, muscle aches, digestive symptoms, and brain fog can have many causes. A medication review can help you identify medication-related possibilities to discuss with your provider.

“Nobody has looked at everything together.”

Prescriptions, supplements, over-the-counter products, labs, and symptoms are often reviewed separately. A pharmacist looks for patterns across the whole list.

“I want to reduce medications eventually, but I want to do it safely.”

This review does not tell you to stop medications. It helps you understand which conversations may be worth having with your healthcare team as your health changes.

You want someone who understands both medications and metabolic health.

A pharmacist’s lens is unique: we understand how medications, nutrients, lab values, chronic conditions, and lifestyle changes interact in real life.

The Medication Clarity Journey

From a confusing medication list to better questions.

This is not a quick generic interaction checker. It is a clinically trained second look at your medication and supplement list, how everything fits together, and which provider conversations may matter most.

The goal is not to make you afraid of medications. The goal is to help you understand them and use that knowledge wisely.

01

First, we organize the full list.

Prescriptions, over-the-counter products, supplements, doses, timing, and stated purpose are reviewed together so the full picture is easier to see.

02

Then, we look for patterns.

Lyndsay reviews side effect possibilities, duplication concerns, interaction considerations, nutrient depletion patterns, and medications that may connect with symptoms or labs.

03

Next, we translate what it means.

You receive plain-language education about each medication’s role, what may be worth monitoring, and why certain questions may deserve a conversation with your healthcare provider.

Finally, you leave with better questions.

Your written review helps you advocate for yourself more confidently at your next provider or pharmacist visit.

05

You are not handed fear. You are handed clarity.

Medication is not failure. Many medications are necessary, protective, and life-saving. But every medication should have a reason, a purpose, and a plan.

Why a Pharmacist?

I am Dr. Lyndsay Carlson, a Doctor of Pharmacy and Board-Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist with 15+ years of clinical experience in collaborative practice and chronic disease management.

Pharmacists live at the intersection of medications, lab values, symptoms, and real life. We see how prescriptions interact with nutrient status, how side effects can be mistaken for “just getting older,” and how often people are taking medications without ever being given the full explanation.

My approach is not anti-medication. Medications can be necessary, protective, and life-saving. But they should be understood. This review is designed to help you see your medication list more clearly so you can have more informed conversations with the healthcare professionals who know you best.

Your body was designed with an extraordinary capacity to heal when given the right inputs and the right information. This service is one step toward helping you understand the tools you are currently using and the questions worth asking next.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I send?

Send your current prescription medications, supplements, over-the-counter products, doses if known, how often you take them, your top 3 concerns, and any recent labs or diagnoses you want considered.

Do I need recent labs?

Labs are helpful but not required. If you have recent bloodwork, especially kidney function, liver enzymes, electrolytes, glucose, A1c, lipids, thyroid markers, vitamin D, B12, magnesium, or iron studies, you may include them.

Will Lyndsay tell me to stop my medications?

No. This is an educational review, not a medication change plan. Lyndsay may identify questions or considerations to discuss with your prescribing provider, but any medication changes must be made with your healthcare team.

Can Lyndsay prescribe or refill medications?

No. This service does not include prescribing, refills, dose changes, or direct treatment.

Can this replace a visit with my doctor or pharmacist?

No. This service is designed to complement your care, not replace it. It helps you become more informed and better prepared for provider conversations.

How long does it take?

Within 24 hours of checkout, you will receive an email with instructions. Once Lyndsay receives your complete information, your written review is delivered within 5-7 business days.

Is the review confidential?

Yes. Your information is reviewed only by Dr. Carlson and is never shared. Communication happens by direct email.

Do you offer refunds?

Because this is a personalized service, refunds are available only if you have not yet sent your medication information. Once Lyndsay has begun your review, the service is non-refundable.

Your Medication List Tells a Story. Let’s Read It Clearly.

Your medications are not just names on a bottle. They are clues about your health history, your current risks, your symptoms, and the support your body may need. Understanding that story is one step toward working with your body, not against it.
